I just registered my domain name, why can't I visit it on the Internet?
Simply put, it's because there is nothing to see. A domain name registration merely allows you to reserve a domain for later use with a hosted web site or hosted email accounts. So, a domain reservation alone does not make it possible to post web pages. For that, you need hosted space for your web pages. back to top

Where do I upload my pages and set up my email account?
A domain name alone does not allow you to post web pages or set up email accounts. For that, you need server space. A domain reservation is very much like getting a drivers' licence. You need a license to be allowed to drive a car, but, to be able to drive around town, you still need to buy a car yourself. The same with a domain reservation. It is just a license that allows you to use your domain name with your web site. To be able to put pages on the web, you need server space as well. If you are ready to post your web pages under your domain name, AZC.COM has a number of plans to choose from. Please take a look and compare them to other plans you may find. back to top

Why does my domain still show as being available on the InterNIC database?
WhoIs search engines query The Shared Registry Database, which is not updated in real time. It is updated three or four times a week. As long as you registered your domain name first, no one else will be able to register that domain name even if a search on it's availability shows that the domain name is still available. That party will receive a message from InterNIC explaining that the domain name was unavailable at the time of registration. back to top

I already have a web site. How do I use my new domain name with that site?
You will need to transfer your domain name to the Internet Service Provider who is hosting your web site. Complete instructions for this transfer are posted here at AZC.COM. back to top

Can I change my domain name after I've registered it?

I lost my registry key. How can I retrieve it?
Use the Customer ID and PIN we issued you to log in to the secure customer database. There:
  • log in to the left panel only using your Customer ID and PIN
  • click on the domain name you need information for (toward the bottom of the screen) - this takes you to the information screen for that domain name
  • at the bottom of that screen, click on your domain name again - this will take you to the registration information screen
  • your registry key is in the top area, 6th line down back to top
